Military Face Protection From Save Phace

Military face protection is a critical piece of equipment when going into any sort of battle situation.

Most of the time, when we think of paintball or Airsoft, we think of a bunch of knuckle headed, hard core, death warriors out to paint or scar their best buddies. However, did you know that the military uses Airsoft guns and tactical face protection in their training exercises?  Pretty bad-ass, if you ask us.

So why has the military adopted this type of training for their troops?

  • It’s Realistic: When you’re training people for combat, you want to give them the opportunity to experience real-life scenarios.  Using Airsoft guns provides a realistic experience for the troops, enabling them to learn how to handle different situations in different environments.  Plus, the Airsoft masks they use are very similar to actual military masks, so they can get a feel for the equipment they’re going to need to wear and use.
  • It’s Safer: Airsoft is safer and more reliable than other paintball and simulation weapons.  After all, you don’t want the troops to get hurt before they leave the base!  Since Airsoft guns are accurate, and can’t be loaded with live ammo, they’re a safer alternative to other forms of training.  Plus, you don’t have to put on a bunch of extra protective gear for the training – you can wear your regular combat gear and military airsoft face protection.
  • It’s Cheaper: Obviously, realism and safety are the most important when it comes to training the military, but if you can do that effectively and for less money, well then it’s a win-win.  Airsoft guns are typically cheaper to purchase and maintain than other paintball and simulation guns, and the ammo is definitely cheaper.  2,000 rounds of Airsoft ammo costs around $10, while 2,000 rounds of simulation ammo can cost as much as $1,200!

Combat training is intense, and requires a lot of discipline and focus.  The last thing you want your troops worrying about is how their training is going to translate to a real-life situation.  By using Airsoft for military training, troops can learn how to handle a variety of situations with sophisticated, lifelike weapons.  They can also stay safe, using face protection masks that have been tested in the harshest military conditions.  With the help of airsoft training and Save Phace masks, our soldiers will be able to handle anything that comes their way.

I am a member of the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, KY. We train hard for the hard fight, but we play hard too. Sometimes the two come together and then play becomes play and play becomes work, but make no mistake, it is all training. Putting ourselves in the line of fire, testing what tactics and techniques work and removing the ones that don’t without a single life lost. When the whistle blows it’s game on; when it blows again the fallen get back up and provide the vital feedback on the actions and choices made. Realistic training has no equal beyond true combat, but true combat costs lives. A single life lost is terrible tragedy to say the least, but a single life lost that could have been avoided through training and trial before hand is much much worse. I thank all our friends at Save Phace for taking the time and displaying thier genuine concern for our troops in harms way. You guys set a high bar for your competitors to attempt to catch up to. Keep up the great work and God Bless…
